Today is St. Augustine's birthday. Garrison Keillor may be hated or whatever, but i love his little readings in the midst of performance today. And today's contained a bit about Borges saying that if you didn't like Stevenson, there must be something wrong with you. I am quite aware that there are a few things quite wrong with me on various level, (currently viral, hence the still not posting enough) but apparently i now have to finally read Treasure Island just to be sure. Come to think of it, i don't know if i've ever read Borges, either. I'm a terrible excuse for a literature major, hm? Saw "Pirates of the Carribean" yesterday, and despite it's major plot flaws (you can blame Disney if you want) it still was quite fun. The CG skeletons were amazing on certain levels and in other scenes it was like, "oh, look, somebody did that on their laptop, didn't they?" But i'm partial to Johnny Depp anyways, so don't take my word for it. go get drunk and look at pretty people in silly hats. oh, wait, or is that horse racing?
