idiocy

Wednesday, October 29, 2003

on monday the river was like glass when i came into work...it was the creepiest thing ever. i've never seen it so smooth. it was totally beautiful-like-the-end-of-the-world kind of creepy.
but the world did not end.
and the river went back to being wrinkled.

last night after that drunken post below, it took me 20 minutes to get out of my clothes i was so drunk and so knotted in them..."Help, i'm trapped in my corset and can't get out!"
somewhere that was a really funny scene in a movie…too drunk to stand, sitting on the edge of my bed in deep contemplation of the floor in front of me trying to get my intoxicated fingers to figure out the lacing on my top-corset thing that had been triple-knotted onto me by my roommate, but you can't see cause it's your back….
trying to remove ones clothing by blind zen…hoo, good times.

But the point of all that silly clothing and parties was that my friend turned 26. Which for me was my year of liberation and return to myself and my life...and here i am in the thick of my third adolescence. I hope she will be as lucky as i have been.

idiocy

ok, drunk again, but this time, to everybody's surprise, including mine , in six inch heeled boots and a vinyl trench and nothing's borken, and nobdy even!!!!
just attended the still happening heidid's bday cocktail party thingy and ( on the way home met yet another , the third, in a series, of pro skateboarders or otherwise who travel the world doing what-all to pay rent and end up driving cabs in the pdx...and knife-fighters, whoi 'd much rather have gone home with that time, and pshychics an d what all...anyways, he was nice and cahrming and a bit of a dude and he was appreciated becaise he delivered my drunk-ass stripper-clad self to my black house with the red light and it was quite convenient and pleasant) now i am drunk in my basement of ill-funk and in my most ridiucluous outfit/shoes and with yet another glass of wine and unsure how to navigate the world to my bed in safety, hell, isn't this always th e way, so i shall slam this next glass of ill-advised wine and hopefully make it to the half-clothed haven of my bed before passing out.
tomorrow may kick my ass, but it's heidid's birthday, you can't not drink, eh? met some nice people, all around a good and random evening, wish my posture had been better....
